April to June and September to October have mild weather and lighter crowds than July and August. Winter is quieter and cheaper, with shorter days.

The Louvre is closed on Tuesdays and the Musée d’Orsay on Mondays, so plan those visits around them. Check the listing for the exact opening hours of each attraction.

Four days is enough for the major monuments, two museums and a few neighborhoods. Add a day for Versailles or another day trip.

For popular tickets and small-group tours, a few days to two weeks ahead is a safe window, and more in peak season or around holidays. Many day tours and food walks still have space a day or two before, so it is worth checking live availability even for last-minute plans.
